cashu mints are also servers/single point of failures, so cashu doesn't really fix this

🤣 It’s probably still not worth it honestly. The problem with satogram is it’s just a blanket “send to all” tool. There’s no way to target particular audiences/demographics because that info is unknown to satogram. Nostr is a better for using lightning to advertise because you actually know something about the recipients. It’s not automated though because no one has built any such tools, but I imagine e that’s coming. “Zap x-amount of sats to all profiles that meet this criteria and include this message.” That would be far more useful than just yolo-ing 1 sat messages to everyone with no clue who’s getting them.

Hmm. The bank may not be open, but I can spend my money 24hrs/day. Also, though I've never tried removing all my money at once, the reason I haven't is because it is FDIC insured. Personally, I don't believe apologizing for your custodian is the best path forward.

It’s not super fast, but it’s way faster than L1, and I’ve never lost a sat using Liquid — unlike Lightning and Cashu. I want this to work desperately. That’s why I keep trying, over and over. But please be careful — I am sure you already have been thinking this but I am going to say it anyway. “trust is hard to gain and easy to lose.” I know I’m saying things you already know, but I just had to get my feelings out. I believe you are trying to do the right thing. I also know this is probably just a freak accident and it might not even be your fault. I am not mad. I will give you another chance because that is what I would hope for if I was in your shoes. Keep up the work you are doing and I am praying for your success.

At the end, Linus concluded: “Linux is just not ready for the mainstream.” That comment really annoyed me—because I use Linux every day. But then I realized: I’m a programmer. The way I use my computer is more complex than the average user. What’s easy and intuitive for me just isn’t the same for someone else. And that’s the core of the issue with Bitcoin. Things need to be stupid simple to work at scale. Like you mentioned, custodial solutions sometimes fail—but setting up self-custody is even harder.
