“When I say payments, I actually mean someone’s entire financial life” -- Elon Musk image

He should declare $doge the official currency of X. I was sure he'd have done it by now but maybe he's tired to troll the SEC
For a while it made me sad not being able to tag you anymore when i dropped the “bitcoin you dumb fuck” Then i deletid xitter and the guilt magically went away
What's the meme when you throw in criminal lagarde 's latest announcement?? Is it the Simpsons bidding circle surrounding the animal knife fight? Bitcoiners on the outside, with X and the EU knife fighting?

This deserves to ratio him. But he would shadow ban it if it got anywhere close.
Centralized, yes. Fully KYC’d and seeking to integrate (and control) your entire financial life into the platform is a whole different ballgame though.
The only way to make it attractive would be to accept everything to begin with otherwise what would the incentive be to join. Unless starlink is the only net in town at that point.
Elon is a fascinating person. He seems to be in favour of Bitcoin, but perhaps got a tap on the shoulder on it. He is a rampant shitcoiner and for his level of intelligence, disregarding L2 is suspicious. You chat w @jack what’s the deal you think? 🙏

Man it would be really cool if there was a super secure politically neutral currency that people could use to custody their own money without having to use a bank. Hope Elon can help us invent something like that.

Elon is the owner of Tesla, Space X, and the owner of a social network who hosts all its stuff on Big Tech's cloud servers. and... we are supposed to believe governments, globalists & deepstate guys do not have a lot of not-so-hidden strings to pull him over and again.
X is starting to sound like FTX. I know its not the same but the lock-in for convenience sake is like CBDC totalitarian control. Do one thing they don't like, even if its not wrong and you are locked out forever and your life is made miserable. Don't fall for it. Stay sovereign. Stay Independent.
What platform has lasted long enough that you would trust your entire financial life with them? We have like, what, 10ish year trends in social media? I guess we just go all in and put our entire lives on X and hope it's still around in 10 years? This is crazy View quoted note →

Every solution they offer is a choice. Normies will always choose the easy option.
I'm not a tech but it would blow my mind if it's not btc, lightning, rgb based in some way with taproot like bitmask and also incorporate nstr.
Musk is a fiat brain, and just doesn’t get it, which is why he doesn’t understand Bitcoin. He wants to run a bank and has no clue what decentralization even means.
I was talking about this with coworkers yesterday. Elon is stupid enough to think by redesigning Cash app on X he'll revolutionize finance. stfu you stupid bitch.
Well, for that Musk needs to stop cancelling people on Twitter. I have been cancelled 4 times and not a reply to my asking why. I don't think I want all my financial info on his platform anyway. I feel he is doing me a favor by cancelling me and not being subject to the negativity and horrors that X keeps feeding everyone in the "for you".
Elon "Shitcoiner" Musk is a conman, it blows my mind that any Bitcoiner takes him even a little seriously...

He wants a piece of the Ponzi before Bitcoin makes it obsolete.

Negativity and horror, a pretty accurate description. It's quite a toxic place.
What a joke. So twitter is going to allow financial trading? No. Twitter is going to give commercial and residential loans? No. Twitter is going to allow cross-border payments in differing currencies? No. This press release is laughable. Twitter wants to be Paypal, nothing more. And we’ve all seen where that went.

It might be a good idea if it wasn't centralized. That is why I am on Nostr, hoping that it will not change for the worse. Having one entity with such power and control is never a good thing. Even if Elon's intentions were good (which I doubt), he will not be here for ever and someone will take over...
imagine being so stupid you voluntarily go to work for world's most infamous sociopath

It's sad that there probably will be a reasonably large group that will actually want those features.
