GM Change is the only constant. So the art of life, or at least a large part of it, is how to deal with change. Or maybe more accurately: how to get better at dealing with change. The Buddhist's answer is non-attachment. The Christian's answer is trusting God's plan, I guess. Gardening is goated because you'll be forced to deal with and participate in change. The seeds you've put in the ground just now are already compost, no matter how beautiful the flowers inbetween, or how tasty the fruits and vegetables. You'll have to deal with change, period. And death. And transformation. But it's all good in the end, because you know that winter won't last forever and spring will come again.

I would suggest the contemplative Christian response to change is to simply surrender everything to the Great Mystery. God is God; we are not God; All change is part of the Mystery and to accept it is to accept this reality. image
Change is eternal, eternal is present In which all gifts come and go. Non-attachment helps us see the present Trust in higher power helps us plunge into it So that we can know the eternal; see the constant clearly, And deal with change in quiet peace and joy
For me only Christianism makes sense, more precisely Catholicism. Jesus is total coherence, with personal freedom values and its result in this world can be seen on what we inherent from medieval times, by far the best time in human history. Its beauty can by seen all around in small villages in Europe.
Beautiful. Change can only be measured by the relationship of invariants (ironic). Knowing that spring will come again through the adjustment and gravity of difficulty towards equilibrium gives us eternal hope and the temporal substrate to experience the cyclical flow of change.
Everything is in constant flux whether you like it or not. It's better to ride that change than fight it.

The Christian answer is uniting your will to the Source of the change so that you are in sync with the change.
This is also something farmers deal with. Animals die. Babies are the most fragile. Animal husbandry is mostly chaotic. From time to time, we have moments of calm, but in general you have to constantly be moving the animals around. I learn so much about myself and humanity from being out doing the daily rotationa of their paddocks.
