The European Union will therefore have access to the ID cards of all Europeans, who will be required to present them in order to log in to social media.
Von der Leyen states that this app is “easy to use” and “protects privacy.”
She explains that it will be like a permit required for children to access social media. A bill will be proposed after the summer break.

Yes, that's very true. Local intelligence or even police use a language barrier to separate people. It pretty visible in a few places. Pushing for local language only is not natural. But maybe it starts to fail as a separating barrier and they have to come up with something else
