Any spending limited device policies we build in the future will be enacted by the phone and the device. It sure is magic, and we know how to do it securely 🪄

Was about to ask the Same…
Not within our wallet yet, but it is (/soon will be) possible to use Frostsnap as a signer of PSBTs within more complex scripts built by other wallets.
We've been working towards this vision for self-custody for several years now, and this is where it starts. We're thrilled for you to join and support us as we pioneer the Frontier of peer-to-peer cash security together. See you on the Frontier 🫡 View quoted note →
Careful...website does not mention the company, manufacturer, people behind this, not open source, multisig with devices only from this manufacturer? What about compatibility with ooen source well tested HD wallets? Careful everyone do not trust verify...

it’s great to see how difficult features become easy to use
Each device has its own seedphrase backup, we'll be showing this soon! You can load the backup into a new device, or in a disaster scenario, combine two backups to form an xpriv that can be loaded into sparrow/bitcoin core.
Good question (and yeah we need to put more out there), so the FROST multisig only has a single group public key (one xpub). And this single group public key can be reconstructed from secret shares or their images. That means that so long as you have two devices or their backups, you can find the xpub and simple derivation path -> descriptor.
Would geographically separated parties be able to pass signing information like in a PSBT? Could frost 'shards' be used to reconstitute 1 of the keys in a standard multisig? If yes to both this would have massive potential to replace Bitgo (which sucks) for companies.
🚨Multisig Leak from Fort Nakamoto HQ 🚨 After months of watching interns lose seed phrases to vending machines and aggressive pigeons… We’ve officially begun field testing Frostsnap – the new self-custody protocol that doesn’t require a PhD in cryptography or a blood pact with your hardware wallet. ✅ No trusted setup ✅ No fingerprinting ✅ No ritual goat sacrifice Just slick, secure, schnorr-stacked multisig that’s easier to use than a fiat wallet with 14 popups. Our preliminary tests show a 97% reduction in freakouts during wallet recovery. The remaining 3% was Greg, who panicked when he realized Frostsnap doesn’t use the Federal Reserve. Result: Fort Approved™ Sovereign money now comes with sovereign key management. #FortNakamoto #Frostsnap #BitcoinCustody #MultisigMagic #SoundMoneyOps #SelfCustodyOrBust

Yes you will be able to do remote P2P signing in the future. Yeah you can also have a FROST key inside a script multisig. Absolutely agree that this is prime for institutional custody, but we're building for us hardcore bitcoiners first!
Best of luck guys. Would love to support you but price point is too high for a 2/3 set up even before I'm happy with any potential tradeoffs and move to a 3/5. UX looks dopeAF.

ok granted this was a stupid question
Ordered! Looking forward to learning more about how inheritance planning could work with FROST. Spending restrictions, delayed access, etc. And excited to see development of remote signing (maybe through Nostr?) in the future. Also, will get you added to Bitcoin only - ✅ Nostr - ✅

Will you add / use blind schnoor signatures?
@nick thanks for your answer! Coming back here after your appearance at CD175. How can one device verify the receive address? I thought you need the threshold for that. Does this mean the xpub is stored on each device but encrypted through the app? Or can anyone finding one device see all transactions?
Seen it in action... it's quite awesome and it works! DYOR though. One thing I'm a big fan of though is that your transactions on the mempool DO NOT show up as a multisig even though it actually took 3 signatures. Obfuscation ftw.
Looks great, good UX. However for setup that require higher security, can we initiate with the devices once at the time to avoid bringing them all in one place? Ideally, I would guess, you should not do the setup all from the same smartphone/PC, in case it's affected, compromised, or is it bulletproof even on compromised devices?
