@GitCitadel folks should consider that a blessing, imo. Sure, the extra funding would've been nice, but it would not have been worth having so much of your creative freedom stripped from you.
Who knows. I'm not one to suggest that getting bullied in school is good for character building XD. I think i was far more naive to the narrative and people until recently so there is that.
Part of me thinks it's just as easy to fall to the other side though. Drinking your own juice. "Look how good were doing. Were shipping [slop] and [they] are just complaining". "We're listing to 'real' people and they're just larping"
If you disregard the reason we're here and what's at stake I guess that's an acceptable narrative. My problem is, the values that brought us here - controls on free speech. If that's no longer the priority and assuming the nostr rails "will just work" and "we need to just get users here because otherwise we'll die" and assuming the outcome is just going to be better than the alternative.

Don't be gaslight into thinking NostrHub.io doesn't work or is centralized by the same people that are always butthurt on this protocol.

If you're not a default expert, that's fine. This just means you haven't put in the work and commented on and wrote NIPs from the old GitHub profile. That's where that original expert list came from.
But we should be able to choose our own experts, right? It's an open protocol after all.
How do you become an expert? You can add yourself as an expert in settings. You can even remove the current default list! Then, you can visit the community NIPs section and begin approving anything from your point of view that needs to be approved.

I think they donβt realize the real dynamic at play - many good hardworking people didnβt want to waste their energy and breath not being heard or acknowledged in that place so they built their own pockets. Pretty rational and sort of how things are supposed to work too.
I try to travel between all the pockets. Iβll chat with them about it. I can see how we got here but we all gotta zoom out a bit
