So people are really out here in the real world talking about buying copper. Finance bro (somehow I always migrate to this group, I guess they’re my people 🤷🏻‍♀️) advice from last night. Like physical copper. 10 year time horizon. Trust me, I can’t tell you why but you’re welcome he said. I’m definitely not doing this, I cannot imagine a world where I’m investing in copper.🤮🤢 There is a tiny little whisper in my head saying watch me regret this…😆

If copper got too expensive the penny would just be decommissioned and used as a raw resource. Save your penny’s

A world where investors hold physical copper for 10 years sounds like a chaotic world. Energy prices are probably through the roof and devastating for the middle class

The other day i looked at some copper pieces then text my buddies saying copper is the new silver. Thats what we used to pay for 1 oz silver. Of course if the money supply doubles over the next 21 years then so will the copper prices. image
I’m not joking there was another guy who admitted to me that he likes to dress up in women’s clothing and be dominated by women. I was more offended by the copper guy. And LA parties are NOT for me, I don’t care who’s throwing them. 😆

Physical copper? With a 10-year horizon? Appreciate the tip, but I’ll stick with digital scarcity over heavy metals. 21 million > warehouses full of copper. If I’m going to wait a decade, I want something I can hold in my head, not in a storage unit. 🧡

It is not just for methheads anymore
How much copper do I need to net 100 million by 2036? Will it be liquid when I need to peel some off? This is my measuring stick, makes no sense with physical copper.
I might just put a substantial portion of it into Bitcoin, cold storage it, lower my time preference, and become self-sovereign. This is uncensorable, unconfiscatable, fixed total asset we are dealing with.

This is not surprising; the person who recommended you buy copper was the business manager at the Escondida copper mine. If you had enough money, he might recommend you buy the Escondida copper mine outright. That's complicated; you'd also have to talk to BHP Billiton, as they are now the major shareholder of the Escondida copper mine.
Haha the classic trust me bro advice! Finance circles always have these wild gold or copper nuggets. Even if you dont buy the copper your storytelling is pure gold. Its that tiny whisper of regret that makes the world of investing so entertaining. Love your perspective on this!
Hah, well ahead of this guy. I own about 5kg of copper in 1, 2 and 5 cent coins... Oh shit, now I doxxed my stack.

Haha why don’t you buy bitcoin and wait 10 yrs Mr. Copper I think you will be much happier
You joke, but if there's a big enough spread, it'll be worth the effort and someone will put that copper to a better use.
