I have a friend who is a pastor and he says that based on his studies there is nothing anywhere to indicate that there are any gates around heaven or that anyone is unwelcome. It's actually that people wind up in hell because they don't think heaven sounds appealing at all.
In my experience, that seems to be the case with most things. I thought it applied particularly well to the people I have seen struggling with health issues who indicate that giving up the foods that are likely the source of their problems sounds horrible, so they continue to struggle. But this is really an even better example.

People on Twitter are mean, salty, and incredibly unproductive? Sounds about right. You get 0 engagement for saying interesting, challenging, thought provoking stuff and little for building things.
Nostr will be more like that later, but it’s early in the adoption cycle. Hacking, nerd culture, Bitcoin, all used to be a lot cooler and tighter, then the mops showed up.
Hacking was all punk rock and being clever and cool, now they’re renaming stuff for offending literally no one, censoring speech. Being a nerd used to be really not cool. Now companies will send you loot crates of random cheap shit that midwits can consume. Bitcoin was all Austrian cypher punks who were genuinely building shit to be ungovernable. Now it’s trader bros who think Bitcoin was the first digital currency when it was really the last.

I have found that I just need to take a break and ignore if someone says something so dumb that it upsets me. Happens rarely on here but it’s impossible to avoid with some subjects. You have to protect your energy at all times.
Discussions are 1000 times better on Nostr than other social media though and sometimes the argument phase is just a hashing out of meanings that’s necessary before arriving at common understanding.
I would like to see a Sphinx style Nostr app where you have to put up sats to participate in a conversation and a “moderator” or group of “moderators” can decided to not give the sats back if you aren’t participating in good faith. I was in the Orange Pill Pod group on there and lots of good convo’s took place in the beginning.

Point intéressée ni par Insta et Faceb pour les avoir testés et analyser les thématiques.. NOSTR ne devrait pas être un lieu pour mixer tous ces réseaux de merde qui ne font qu'exaherber les maux d'une société en perdiition. Qu'importe notre statut social nous nous devons d'être de nous bonifier intelligemment. Nul besoin de démonstration individuellle, d'être d'accord sur tout ou de partager nos humeurs en ligne nostr ne soit pas d'être le lieu de journaux individuels j'ai dû relever une grande tendance à l'extimité .. Relisez cette note et recherchons des thématiques qui relèvent le niveau. Merci.. Je ne mute personne, ni ai l'esprit communautariste trop dangereux pour certains individus. nostr est une plate-forme nul besoin de perdre sa propre identité.
