It’s me back to say more controversial things on the nostr. Men should provide for women.

Wake me up when it's actually controversial
For me it’s traditional gender roles, but I’m open to other ideas that don’t involve the redistribution of resources from men to women via the state.
And when there is an enemy that is impeding men from providing for women, be it a foreign invader, or, say, a banking cartel, it falls to men to identify and band together to eliminate that impedance.

Men should provide for women and women should not pretend to be men

I have to go do just that tomorrow. It wasn’t planned but it must be done. Weekend rate is better anyway 🦅
What, all of them? As an older bloke, I can tell you that the best martial advice I ever got was to not let money problems come into your marriage. He said that most arguments & divorces occur over money. Keep the money flowing & shield her from any monetary stresses & you'll have a long marriage. He wasn't wrong but women want more than just a provider. They also want someone to protect them & their children.

As a happy wife, I don’t aggree on this one. I am not a feminist, I am feminine, but at the same time I enjoy earning my own money and stacking sats. We split out bills 50/50 and I’m genuinely happy with that. He offered to provide, but I want to pay my part cause I want him to know I’m with him out of love, not money… I think it’s great if a man chooses to provide, but it shouldn’t be an obligation for all men. Also, letting women pay can actually help men to spot gold diggers early on…

I’ll add a disclaimer though: we don’t have kids (yet), so maybe I’ll change my mind later 😅. But for now, 50/50 feels right for us

It seems like an appropriate disclaimer 😅 I believe parenthood somehow completes one’s self, as in giving its true purpose. When you have kids, remember two pieces of advice of a random Nostr guy: 1, be generous, and have as many kids as you can. There is no greater joy and no greater ROI in life fulfillment. Low time preference always pays off. Al carajo with all those little, close-minded people that have two kids and no more because “it’s enough”. Since when just this love is enough? And 2, your job as a parent is to raise kids so that they are successful in leaving your nest. So, your number one priority, and the person who will remain after the kids leave, is your spouse. Treat your husband like when you were still dating even when you have kids. There are few sure ways of ruining a marriage. Forgetting about the spouse and living solely for the kids is one of them. PS. This applies for husbands exactly in the same way, but you mentioned you’re a wife

Yes, but only out of love and admiration, not out of pity.
How bout this one : gendered words (actress, stewardess, etc) **_honor_** women, and the woke assholes are actually disrespecting women by changing the language.

Thanks @Alvaro for your advice! 💜 You sound like a very wise man, will try to put this in practice when kids come!

Back in my day, we called men who didn't provide for women...pussies. Meaning "not a man".

If ya ain't taking care of her, someone else will 😎
LOL, most of the dudes I know who run bitcoin startups wouldn’t even be able to afford to do it if their wives weren’t financially supporting them.
That's not controversial, it's universal. Women either believe this explicitly or they believe it because they support taxation to fund welfare. Only the tiniest minority of lesbians don't believe in welfare.

100%. Why go against thousands (if not millions) of years of evolution?
Very controversial to say that men should do things for women. Stunning and brave, @HODL. Stunning and brave.
I used to be really adamant about traditional gender roles, and I loved being a housewife when the kids were very young. But I'm at an age where the dynamic often flips, as the men are simply worn out and the women are making solid incomes again.
