When reheating pizza in a pan, add a few drops of water to the pan and cover it with a lid. The water turns to steam, reheating the toppings without drying them out, while the pan keeps the bottom crispy. More importantly, stack sats every single day

I'm researching the single points of failure in Bitcoin storage setups, and I believe the main one is the reliance on a secure key generation environment. If you don't take the appropriate measures when generating your keys, everything else is compromised.
Sauna Alpha: People don’t talk enough about the body’s desire to get out. Whatever time/temp you go with, the last 5 min. should be VERY hard. Your body should be telling you that you really need to get out - almost involuntarily- literally a “flight response” But you DECIDE to stay. To breathe and to create space. To train your “Fight Response” The sauna is working when the hardest thing to do is nothing. That’s when you’re doing it right.
Layer 2 wouldn't help with mining, and if Earth/Luna are the only places where mining is viable, then all other locations in Sol system will effectively exist as dependents/protectorates/colonies - which is great at first, but surely sets the stage for conflict later. Mars is especially rich is deuterium, so they're going to want to mine. If all blocks are mined on earth, future capital will concentrate on Earth, which will mean lower prices on earth / higher prices elsewhere - which would happen anyways, but that will exacerbate it - and that will disincentivuze space colonization. Its possible that bitcoin will trap us on Earth, even if we develop the technology to easily leave. On the other hand, by making mining only viable on earth, we protect our economy from potential alien disruption. Did you see that video of the sphere sucking plasma off the sun? Maybe its fake - idk - but it was pulled off a NASA webpage. That thing, or anything like it that might show up, is a real danger. By keeping mining only on earth, we at least have protection against reorg attacks happening somewhere else in the solar system. IMO, we have to colonize the inner solar system before we think about mining outside the earth-luna system. All of it... Its not impossible to mine off earth - just improbable. Some blocks take a couple of hours to be found. Its just probability. A mine somewhere in the inner solar system could find a block outside the 10 min average. But there is no chance that a miner could do a reorg of the chain if their latency is greater than 10 min. So maybe its a feature, not a bug, for a couple thousand years.

When going hiking, bring a bag in your car with a clean pair of shoes. Once you return to your car you can change into a clean pair of shoes and your can store your hiking shoes in the same bag. Keeps your car clean, you can go other places without tracking mud, it has been a simple yet beautiful life hack for me 🙂🥾

Spend more time in the sun! Serotonin and Vitamin D is way underrepresented in our times and don't get hooked on cheap dopamine in form from social media, sugar, pron or other stuff. Work for it! Go out touch some grass, take in the sun and take care of your family! Take responsibility for your time with the sun and your serotonin and dopamine levels.
How to make a half-decent coffee from instant coffee, maybe your camping or in some off-grid AirBnB with no fancy coffee machines. Before adding the boiling water put the coffee grounds in your cup first and mix with a splash of milk. This will stop any burning of the coffee grounds. Also add a pinch of salt to bring a little more flavour out. Then boiling water, milk, generously stir. It’s no Melbourne Magic but it’ll get the job done.

That the timelock is per UTXO is news to me but makes perfect sense. Is there a timer in the wallet next to each UTXO that counts down the time before unlocking the UTXO for the recovery key? Can you confirm this: I guess there is also some flexibility, let’s say I don’t do anything for 24 months. All UTXO’s are spendable by the recovery key - but have not moved. But if I resend them at that point (e.g. 24 months) in time to a new address in my wallet the timelock starts over again. Is that right?

More expensive cuts of beef (generally from the loin sector) can be cooked well without losing tenderness, but cheaper cuts are best left medium rare if you don't want to chew on a shoe sole. In addition, a slightly coarser salt facilitates the seasoning because it is more difficult for it to be excessively salty.

There is no rational basis for the belief that the future will in any way resemble the past. It's something we all accept on faith. That at first glance seems perhaps the opposite of useful; indeed, David Hume spent years letting it depress him and he resorted to just spending his days playing backgammon in the park. But when you let it remind you that all of your future predictions are no more or less likely than each other, it lets you stop clinging to your predictions, and reminds you that preparing for one likely future is foolish; living your life as resiliently as possible so that you'll be steadfast no matter what comes at you is wise. Some might take it as a reason to live for the present, but you didn't think a Bitcoiner was going to tell you to have a high time preference now did you? Besides, when it's just as likely you'll be alive as that you won't be, I'm not sure why that would justify being without means. Hopefully this is something we can learn as a species; the boomers certainly seemed to take the opposite approach. Appreciate the present, and your ability to get stronger and more resilient now. But never take it as an excuse to prey on the future's resources. As for things a bit more mundane -- organ meats are fucking awesome for your health, and they're not nearly as gross as most Americans seem to think they are. In other words, offal isn't awful.

In the 17th century, during the Golden Age, Amsterdam wasn’t just a hub for trade and tulips — it was a magnet for sailors, sex workers, and scandal. The Zeedijk area, right by today’s Red Light District, was known as “the sailors’ hell.” Taverns offered booze, opium, and anything else a weary sea dog might crave. Some bars even had trapdoors — if a customer got too drunk or rowdy, they’d literally drop him into the canal. And here’s a weird twist: the Church taxed brothels. So technically, the clergy profited off sin — Amsterdam has always known how to balance vice with pragmatism.

Tradition is certainly the shoulders of giants without which we couldn’t otherwise have reached for the stars. But it is also the standard that gets in the way of its better version: “A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it.” — Max Planck This idea suggests that paradigm shifts in science often occur not because old scientists change their minds, but because new generations adopt new perspectives more readily. Old values must be replaced in the process of reevaluating all values: this is the only way toward self-correction. All else is reaction rather than response.

You mad, bro? Well, anyway, the main fallacy you’re running up the flagpole is this one: there’s no opportunity cost to the Lindy effect. Ah, but there is, every epistemological trajectory has a price. Yes, even positivism. Sorry, back to helping you see the weak points of your position. Yes, duty to the past comes at the cost of moving on. Which is more toxic? Well, that depends on incentives and values and other circumstances like the will to powder. Telling others which utopia to love leads to dark times.
It's legal to carry guns on private property, even if it's a "gun-free zone." The worst case scenario that will happen to you if you're caught is you'll be asked to leave or trespassed. You should seize the opportunity and conceal a gun anywhere that doesn't have metal detectors and pat-downs in place.

I appreciate your thought experiment: I like to learn by doing too. Sure tradition has the benefit of polish but so do some turds. Bluster doesn’t persuade those who understand that absolutes can be dismissed without evidence because they do not offer evidence.
The sarcophagus in the Queens chamber of the pyramid at Giza is the original baptismal font, except the Egyptians actually knew how to do it right. Given that it is their word, that would make sense. They were doing sensory deprivation to induce theta neural oscillations which "opens the ba". Ba is to the Egyptians what Christians today would be most familiar with as "the Holy Spirit". Ba can be found in the word baptism. Also, bath, basin, and basalt. The ancient Egyptians were manufacturing chemicals in many of the buildings that still stand today. They used some of those chemicals to make magnesium sulfate. We call magnesium sulfate Epsom salts because it was discovered like 400 years ago in Epsom in the UK. Bullshit. The Egyptians were making it thousands of years before Epsom was the name of a chunk of Earth's crust.. It was "ba salt" used in the BAptismal BAth poured into the sarcophagi BAsin. If you want to know the significance of theta neural oscillations, a good place to look would be the now declassified military intelligence correspondence on the subject of paranormal espionage research that cited the biomedical models of the guy who was obviously the target of the American Airlines Flight 191 "accident". It was probably nothing. Guy was on Mossad's and the US's radar and he dies 2 years after writing his book and 4 years before his work is cited in, at the time, classified military research on paranormal espionage. This is useful in the same way watching The Big Short is useful. Almost everyone you know is full of shit, but there are a few weirdos out there who know what's up.
